Faculty

The Center for Teaching Excellence (CTE) provides pedagogical support and development for faculty of all titles and ranks. Additionally, the Center partners with colleges, departments, and programs to design and facilitate world class academic programs and celebrate teaching excellence in all of its forms.

Graduate Students

Preparing future faculty for a career in teaching and education is one of the ongoing goals of the Center for Teaching Excellence. From cohorts and communities to certificates and workshops, we provide a multitude of resources for graduate students to build their classroom skill set.

TAMU Stakeholders

The Center for Teaching Excellence supports faculty, staff, and campus partners through personalized consultations, engaging workshops, and in the creation and distribution of instructional resources. We collaborate to enhance teaching practices, promote inclusive learning, and drive continuous improvement across the institution.

Google Gemini Training for Faculty Monday, September 21st Rudder Tower

The Google AI Tour is coming to Texas A&M! Faculty are invited to take advantage of four opportunities on Monday, September 21st to explore practical applications of Google AI for teaching, learning, and productivity.

Choose from two focused, 45-minute sessions:

Get Started with Gemini: Introduction to Gemini

In this session, participants will explore how the new era of generative technology can help handle the "heavy lifting" of instructional design, allowing faculty to scale the best practices they already value. To do this, participants will be introduced to their personal AI assistant for teaching and learning: Gemini for Education.

Teaching & Learning: Create Process-Based Assessments
In this session, participants will learn how to use Gemini as a creative partner to generate frameworks and then create rubrics that can be used for evaluation.

What to Bring

Bring your own device (BYOD)! A charged laptop or tablet is required for these hands-on training sessions.

Earn Your Google AI Educator Certification

Want to take your learning further? Pre-enroll in the Google AI Educator Series portal to be eligible to claim your official digital badges onsite following the training.
