AI Learning Community

The Generative AI Learning Community is a space for select faculty members to explore Generative AI's potential in the classroom.

Learning Outcomes

Stay updated on Generative AI developments and best practices across disciplines.
Promote experimentation for enhanced teaching, learning, and research outcomes.
Facilitate dialogue, feedback, and knowledge-sharing among members and external experts.
Uphold ethical, responsible, and inclusive Generative AI use in education.

Participants

Small cohorts of faculty of all backgrounds and expertise selected across application cycles.

Participation

Biweekly online engagement in workshops, webinars, demos, discussions, projects, and showcases.

Each member is expected to apply generative AI to enhance teaching outcomes and share their teaching experiences with one another.

AI Literacy Canvas Course

This CTE-developed generative AI literacy course for faculty and staff is now offered each semester through AI Literacy Canvas Community and addresses the following topics:

History of AI: Explore the journey of AI from its beginning to the present day.
Operational Mechanics: Dive into the inner workings of generative AI systems.
Integration into Higher Education: Discover how generative AI is transforming higher education and the job market.
Safety and Ethical Considerations: Learn about bias, privacy, and responsible generative AI use.
Future Development and Impacts: Discuss emerging trends of generative AI technologies.

By the end of this course, you will have a solid foundation in AI literacy. Welcome to the exciting world of artificial intelligence!
