Howdy, Aggies!
January is National Mentoring Month, a time to reflect on the impact of mentorship and the value it brings to our lives and community. Texas A&M University is committed to fostering a Culture of Mentoring within and across the institution through a multipronged and highly collaborative programming. The Center for Teaching Excellence (CTE) team remains dedicated to expanding participation and enhancing our mentoring initiatives.

● Faculty Mentoring Academy
● Graduate Mentoring Academy

These programs, built on shared, evidence-based mentoring competencies developed by the Center for the Improvement of Mentored Experiences in Research (CIMER), are innovated and adapted to meet the diverse needs of faculty, staff, and graduate students. From the initiative’s humble beginnings in 2020, we are excited to share that over 550 individuals have completed the TAMU Mentoring Academy:
● Faculty: 115+
● Staff: 70+
● Postdocs: 30+
● Graduate and Professional Students: 335+
This successful engagement is a testament to the dedication of participants and the strong mentoring culture growing within the Texas A&M community. Whoop!
