Generative AI Learning Community
The Center for Teaching Excellence seeks 10 interested and dedicated instructors to participate in the inaugural Generative AI Learning Community focused on exploring the use of generative artificial intelligence in the classroom. The Generative AI Learning Community’s purpose is to create a collaborative and supportive space for interested faculty to explore generative AI’s potential integration in education and the classroom.
This two-semester commitment takes place over the 2024/2025 calendar year - Spring or Summer 2024, Fall 2024, and Spring 2025. Participants who complete all learning community components receive a $2,500 bursary payment. There is flexibility for faculty to join the learning community either in Spring or Summer 2024, with both entry points concluding with a Spring 2025 ‘Hear from Peers’ 15 minute presentation and 30 minute Q&A session. ‘Hear from Peers’ sessions are held biweekly, with one presenter per session.
Generative AI Learning Community Learning Outcomes:
Entry Point | Implementation | Hear from Peers Presentation |
Spring 2024 | Fall 2024 | Spring 2025 |
Summer 2024 | Fall 2024 | Spring 2025 |
