Generative AI Learning Community

The Generative AI Learning Community welcomes faculty from all backgrounds, levels of expertise, and areas of interest who are curious about generative AI and its educational implications. The learning community participants will engage in activities such as workshops, webinars, demos, discussions, projects, and showcases. Spring 2025/Summer 2025 focuses on forming a Community of Scholars to study artificial intelligence, anchored by CTE-developed modules. 

Fall 2025 focuses on generative AI implementation, planning to put into practice that which was learned in the spring/summer. Spring 2026 focuses on activities in which participants promote AI use among their peers, sharing how they implemented generative AI into their teaching and their assessment of how it went. Spring 2025 Entry Point Logistics

• Kick-off Informational Meeting: Zoom 1-hour meeting the week of January 20-24 (date, time, location to be determined based on participant availability) 
• Biweekly 1-hour Zoom meetings over the course of the spring semester 
• Monthly 1- hour Zoom meetings for the Fall 2025
• Champion AI among Peers activity in Spring 2026
• The Generative AI Learning Community will engage in activities such as workshops, webinars, demos, discussions, projects, and showcases over its two-semester duration.

Summer 2025 Entry Point Logistics

• Kick-off Informational Meeting: Face-to-face 1-hour meeting the week of May 19-23 (date, time, location to be determined based on participant availability) 
• Biweekly 1-hour Zoom meetings over the course of the summer Monthly 1-hour Zoom meetings for the Fall 2025
• Champion AI among Peers activity in Spring 2026 
• The Generative AI Learning Community will engage in activities such as workshops, webinars, demos, discussions, projects, and showcases over its three-semester duration.

Applications for the 2026 cohort will be open from Sept. 29 - Oct. 17, 2025.
Accepted applicant notification email sent: week of November 3-7, 2025.
