The Innovation and Design for Exploration and Analysis in Teaching Excellence (IDEATE) community of scholars is dedicated to collaboratively conducting and disseminating Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL) research. The faculty in the IDEATE community are leaders in innovating and transforming practices in teaching and learning in a sustainable way while remaining grounded in literature from the learning sciences and evidence-based high-impact practices.
The Center for Teaching Excellence seeks 10 interested and dedicated instructors to participate in the inaugural Generative AI Learning Community focused on exploring the use of generative artificial intelligence in the classroom. The Generative AI Learning Community’s purpose is to create a collaborative and supportive space for interested faculty to explore generative AI’s potential integration in education and the classroom.
The Community-Engaged Teaching and Learning Fellowship Program is a 1.5 year-long faculty development program that provides an opportunity for 3 faculty members to integrate Community-Engaged Teaching and Learning practices into their teaching, research, and public service. This Fellowship Program–which includes a $5000 bursary for course development or professional educational development–aims to elevate and support Community-Engaged Teaching and Learning at Texas A&M University. It is designed to support faculty as they form and sustain collaborative local community partnerships to provide real-world transformative learning experiences for their students.
Faculty participating in the Scholarship of Teaching Yield Learning Excellence (STYLE) Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL) Certificate Program will learn foundational knowledge in the research of effective teaching and learning strategies. Participants will design a scholarship of teaching and learning (SoTL) study related to an area of interest in a course they teach. Participants will execute their SoTL plan over the second long semester in the program. The STYLE program leadership team and the IDEALS lab (a SoTL focused lab of research assistants) will support faculty in planning, executing, and analyzing data from their SoTL project.
The Innovative Teaching Fellows program at Texas A&M invites faculty members to participate in a two-year term to enhance teaching through three tracks:
AI,
Canvas tools, and
classroom technology. Participants will develop advanced expertise, complete projects, share innovations, and may evaluate new educational tools for potential adoption.
