As an Educational Consultant at the Texas A&M Center for Teaching Excellence, Reem Hussein supports faculty in their application of technologies that embody diversity, equity and inclusion in Texas A&M’s digital learning environment. Reem works directly with faculty and departments to understand pedagogical and curricular needs such as the implementation of Canvas and other teaching modalities to enhance and improve instruction. Her focus is to Collaborate with faculty and her team in the design and implementation of innovative training opportunities for course instructors, as well as track and assess learning outcomes that result from training. Her experience includes creating curriculum and searching for best practices that help with student retention, engagement and ease of content delivery as well as leading efforts in the world of education to achieve the greater good to all of its constituents.

Reem Hussein received her B.S. degree in Interdisciplinary Studies and her M.ed. in Curriculum and Instruction, via the 4+1 program, from Texas A&M University. Prior to becoming an Instructional Consultant at Texas A&M, Reem held teaching positions in both the elementary and middle school levels as well as being Grade Level Administrator for four years. During her time as a teacher, Reem started at Blinn College as a part-time instructor for undergraduates and is currently working with the college to develop an asynchronous course.
