Teaching Assistant Institute (TAI)

The Teaching Assistant Institute (TAI), hosted by the Office of Graduate and Professional Studies and the Center for Teaching Excellence, is a one day face-to-face course with additional online modules designed to prepare graduate students for college classroom teaching.

Academy for Future Faculty (AFF)

The Academy for Future Faculty Teaching Certificate Program (AFF) provides professional development for graduate students and post-docs in preparation for a career in higher education. AFF offers a two-semester program anchored by faculty mentorship and featuring weekly seminars and workshops.

The Graduate Teaching Consultant Program (GTC) supports the professional development in teaching of graduate students, and includes opportunities that support enhanced teaching experience, as outlined in the Model of Graduate Student Professional Development in Teaching.

English Language Proficiency Program (ELP)

The English Language Proficiency Program (ELP) is a linguistic service provided to international instructors (and prospective instructors) who wish to improve their spoken English skills. The program offers a suite of resources including individual consultations, workshops, and virtual feedback tools designed to improve comprehensibility and effectiveness in instructional settings.
