The Center for Teaching Excellence (CTE) provides pedagogical support and development for faculty of all titles and ranks. Additionally, the Center partners with colleges, departments, and programs to design and facilitate world class academic programs and celebrate teaching excellence in all of its forms.
Graduate Students
Preparing future faculty for a career in teaching and education is one of the ongoing goals of the Center for Teaching Excellence. From cohorts and communities to certificates and workshops, we provide a multitude of resources for graduate students to build their classroom skill set.
TAMU Stakeholders
The Center for Teaching Excellence supports faculty, staff, and campus partners through personalized consultations, engaging workshops, and in the creation and distribution of instructional resources. We collaborate to enhance teaching practices, promote inclusive learning, and drive continuous improvement across the institution.

After 23 years of dedicated service to Texas A&M University, Dr. Debra Fowler, executive director of the Center for Teaching Excellence (CTE), will be retiring on Jan. 31, 2026.
A few weeks into the fall semester, it becomes obvious to students and faculty alike which of their everyday tasks are the most time-consuming. On September 22, Google Gemini visited campus in collaboration with the Office of the Provost and Technology Services to inform and encourage the use of their AI tools for enhancing education.
