Who can apply? Faculty and staff who support teaching.


Purpose: The Digital Accessibility Learning Community is a year-long program designed to bring together instructors committed to making their digital content accessible for all learners. Through regular meetings, participants will engage in a collaborative space, share cross-disciplinary insights, and explore practical strategies to address common digital accessibility barriers in teaching and learning. The community provides a supportive environment for collaboration, reflection, and innovation, with the ultimate goal of enhancing the accessibility of digital course materials and instructional practices. 

Learning Outcomes

Design course materials that incorporate digital accessibility principles.
Integrate accessibility standards into digital instructional content.
Collaborate across disciplines to evaluate digital accessibility challenges and develop potential solutions for these challenges.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Expectations

Attend five bi-weekly meetings in the Fall and five bi-weekly meetings in the Spring semester. The tentative meeting schedule has been provided below.
Engage in foundational learning related to digital accessibility.
Completion of a digital accessibility related project at the end of the year-long program.
Become a digital accessibility champion for your field of study.

Applications open on July 14th, and they close on August 15th, 2025.
