CTE Position and Role

Dr. Justin T. Dellinger provides leadership for the university's digital learning environment including governance, communication, learning tools integrations, and resource development. Additionally, Dr. Dellinger helps lead the day-to-day operations of CTE including the center's commitment to innovating teaching and learning through emergent technologies such as artificial intelligence and learning analytics. 

Relevant Academic and Professional Experience

Prior to joining TAMU in September 2022, Dr. Dellinger co-led the first fully- online, global master's program in Learning Analytics in the Department of Psychology at the University of Texas at Arlington (UTA). He also served as Associate Director for the Learning Innovation and Networked Knowledge (LINK) Research Lab in the Center for Research on Teaching and Learning Excellence. Dr. Dellinger has experience teaching K-12, undergraduate, graduate, and open online courses. Additionally, he also served as co-lead for the Digital Learning Research Network and Learning Analytics Learning Network. Dr. Dellinger earned his Ph.D. in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies where he investigated the adoption of analytics and large-scale learning data. Prior, he earned his Bachelors of Arts in History and Spanish as well as a Master of Arts in History.

As a digital learning director with a background in both K–12 and higher education, Dr. Dellinger is committed to helping stakeholders innovate learning environments, respond to evolving technological needs, and enhance their professional growth. Drawing on his background in educational leadership, emerging technologies, teaching, and learning design, Dr. Dellinger enjoys helping the university leverage innovative tools and approaches that actively engage students, build analytical mindsets, foster deeper learning, and cultivate digital, data, and AI literacies.
