In addition to the mentoring competency sessions, the Center for Teaching Excellence offers mentoring workshops. These workshops are interactive and filled with resource sharing. Workshop topics are identified and developed based on our campus needs and literature findings. Equipping for Mentoring*

Faculty often are not trained for their crucial role of mentoring graduate students. At this workshop you will gain the knowledge, confidence, and skills needed for this important role.
Workshop objectives:

  1. Identify mentoring evidence-based practices.
  2. Recognize available institutional and external resources, including individual development plans and mentor-mentee compact.
  3. Apply principles of effective mentorship through a case study.
 *This session is delivered via ZOOM and designed to be interactive with participants using various ZOOM features and capabilities.
