Syllabus Workshop If you are writing or revising a syllabus for next semester, this workshop is for you. During this 3 hour program we will explore how the syllabus can inspire, motivate and engage students in your course from the first day of class. Do you want the syllabus to be an invitation? A contract? A roadmap? How do you best communicate learning objectives? Assessment practices? Expectations? Open to all faculty and graduate students with course teaching responsibilities. Bring your current syllabus (or someone else's for inspiration!), your laptops and your creativity. We will have refreshments to sustain us. Registration is limited so register at http://cte.tamu.edu Date: August 6, 2008 Time: 9 am - 12 pm Location: 448 Blocker
