Inspiration is a powerful motivator for learners in your classroom. Motivate yourself and your students by joining the Faculty Teaching Academy (FTA) for2009-2010. During the six FTA sessions (3 fall 2009/3 spring 2010) you will have the opportunity to learn from Texas A&M faculty members who have distinguished themselves as teachers. FTA speakers are available for peer observation giving you the opportunity to see first-hand how these master teachers practice their craft. Your fellow FTA members provide you with a network of colleagues who share your passion for teaching and learning.
Faculty Teaching Academy meetings are highly interactive, intellectually stimulating, and informal. FTA makes professional development in teaching accessible and convenient – important since a high percentage of faculty who successfully earn promotion and tenure have participated in some type of professional development activity. Space is limited – please register* at http://cte.tamu.edu/events/rsvp. Join us and be inspired!
Participants will register for FTA by semester in 2009-2010 with fall registration open in summer 2009 and spring registration open in December 2009.
