CTE Consulting - Enhancing Teaching Effectiveness

Are students learning what you intend? As a scholar, you know the importance of reflecting on professional practice and the value that feedback brings to the process. CTE consultants can help you reflect on your teaching effectiveness by partnering with you to collect and analyze data related to your teaching practice. We can help with general questions about learning and teaching or something more specific like . . .
  • Understanding a particular event or student behavior in a class;
  • Interpreting previous semester or midterm evaluation data;
  • Providing feedback on your teaching statement/portfolio draft;
  • Exploring new ideas/approaches you have for a course;
  • Collecting additional feedback about your teaching beyond what the formal evaluation system provides;
  • Revising a course or designing a new course; or
  • Addressing a significant challenge in teaching where another perspective would be useful.

Whatever your questions related to learning and teaching - contact CTE - we will work with you to help you determine how best to proceed.

Appointments for consultation are made throughout the year. For more information, contact Jean Layne at 862-4269 or j-layne@tamu.edu
