The RPTS 321, Event Management & Operations II course will provide students with field experience in event management settings in partnership with select community agencies. This course will help students to develop a deeper understanding of their roles as service leaders in communities where they live and work, as well as those they wish to affect in positive ways. In reciprocation, the students will provide community partners with new knowledge, publicity, and evaluative reports. The information gathered from the students will not only benefit the community partners in reoccurring events, but also be of great use to other agencies in the nation that are involved in organizing/providing events for the community. During the spring semester, students will be actively engaged in a minimum of 25 hours with their community partners. Students will assist the community partners in planning, organizing, and implementing events in the Bryan/College Station areas.
