By the end of this class, students will be able to:

1. Apply principles of integrated course design in the development of a course within your discipline (aligned learning outcomes, assessments and learning experiences/teaching methods).

2. Apply classroom management strategies in the facilitation of a course within your discipline.

3. Develop a reflective and purposeful approach to teaching.

4. Develop a teaching philosophy statement.

5. Develop a diversity statement.

6. Practice self-assessment and peer assessment of teaching.

7. Develop and execute a teaching-as-research plan.

8. Design an e-Portfolio.
